What is GPRS Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) What are the advantages of doing this?
The traditional old-fashioned water meter obtains water consumption data by checking the dial pointer on the meter. The water management department must go to the site to check each water meter regularly every month. This not only takes a lot of time to record data, but it is also easy to record errors. The result of this is that the management cost is very high and the efficiency is very low. An automatic reading system has been developed that allows the reading of the meter to be done electronically instead of manually. This is called the Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) technology.
When the user refuses to pay the fee after receiving the bill, the administrator can send a valve closing instruction on the meter reading system after sending a notice to him and not getting a response, restricting the customer's water consumption. When the fee is paid, the administrator can send the valve opening instruction to continue water supply.
The GPRS wireless water meter only needs 1M of flow per month, and its consumption is very small, so the administrator does not need to worry about the high maintenance cost of the water meter in the later period.
